Riva Elite is the most exclusive of our collections. A natural wood flooring with select finishes, designed to be the center of all eyes. With Riva Elite we have found the balance between perfection, design and nature to offer our most demanding customers a new experience under their feet.
The Process: The composition of this engineered wood is what truly sets Riva Floors apart. The boards at Riva Floors are engineered composed of two layers; the top layer is 100% White European Oak where as the bottom layer is made of several layres of birch plywood. Birch provides the perfect density to deliver optimal stability. Both layers are combined with the highest quality D4 wood adhesive, which acts as a barrier to control moisture, and a solvent-free industrial grade glue (100% formaldeyde-free). A cold drying technique to let the glue set is done to ensure that the structural integrity of the wood is not compromised. Six layers of UV-matt lacquer is applied to guarantee maximum resistance to the wood. All finishing products are supplied by Bona. All quality control areas are staffed by women because attention to detial is of the utmost importance at Riva.
Sustainability: Quercus Robur, better know as European oak, is characterized by its enormous size and dimensions. It is one of the most durable species, which makes it a great option for wood flooring installations. Riva has managed to use this resource for more than four generations, developing a high-end and luxurious product. This species is not endangered, in fact is is overpopulated. To contribute to our planet's sustainability, Riva is committed to planting three trees for each one felled.
